Privacy
Short version: Yosh and this site do not collect your files or personal data, and there is no tracking.
The Yosh app
- Your files, file names and archives stay on your computer. Yosh never uploads them.
- There are no accounts, no advertising and no analytics in the app.
- The only network request is the optional update check, once a day: it fetches
/api/updatefrom this site, a short signed text file naming the newest version. If a newer version exists, Yosh downloads the installer from this site and checks its signature and checksum before running it. - You can turn the update check off in setup, in the Yosh window, or by never installing the update option.
What our server sees
Like any web server, this one receives your IP address, the time, the page or file requested, and the program that asked (for the updater, "Yosh-Updater" and its version). This is held in ordinary server logs, only as long as needed to run and protect the service. We do not use it to identify you, build profiles or advertise, and we do not sell or share it, except where the law requires.
This website
- No cookies and no analytics or tracking scripts.
- No third-party requests: fonts, images and scripts all come from this site.
- The only personal data we receive is what you choose to put in an email to us. We use it to answer you and delete it when it is no longer needed.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). Write to admin@robinbawss.com.
